(pics added) Any amateur interior decorators? I need help with furniture arrangement
The first pic is how my living room furniture arrangement looks now. I feel like I'm underutilizing so much space like in the corners near where the softs meet. Now that we have the tree up, though, that's where it is so that works. The 2nd picture is how I was thinking of rearranging it. I want to display more photos and this way I can get a side table next to the wall to display them. That is, if I have room, these pictures are not scale but I tried ot make it as realistic as I could. What do you think - would the 2nd pic work or does it make things worse? The armoir weighs a ton so I don't want to be moving things around until I know it will look ok. Thanks Image Attachment(s):

The ottoman is too small and the chair should be closer to the two sofas?

The 2nd arrangement doesn't work for me either.
Int he 1st arrangement I would keep the sofa where it is but move the loveseat to where the small chair is - but across from the sofa.
Perhaps put the chair and ottoman where the loveseat is.
Try to keep groupings so that your pieces don't look like their misplaced or floating.

I think the 2nd layout works the best and gives optimum exposure to the fireplace.

After I did it, I pressed the "print screen/SysRq" button which is next to the Scroll Lock Button on the keyboard. Then I had to go into the Paint program and I went to File/Paste and it pasted into there. From there I cut out just that image and made a new Paint document and pasted the picture in there. It's a PITA!
