Picture/Word cards.. help build my list!
I teach 1st grade. I want to make up some picture /word cards for my ELL students and Special Ed students. Please help me add to my list of words I can make flash cards for. I want them to use it to learn to read the word and write the word.

I actually have a file of family word cards already with pictures that I could email to you. I label everything in the room too, doors, windows, lamps, pillows, chairs etc.
Also, this site has lot of picture flashcards.

Maybe also label classroom objects (they sell those realy cool sentence strip Post its now !)
Maybe use the
Dolsch words.

Thanks! I have a word wall and everything around my room is labeled but last year our ELL teacher had flash cards so when the students needed to know how to write a word that wasnt around the room or on the word wall they could use the cards. but i dont have those cards anymore and she isnt there anymore

they are index card size so yu can just put an index card in your printer and should print fine
I will put them on a bider ring and leave it at their seat.

I only have about 15 done.. i need some more ideas for words.. but you shouldnt have a problem adding on to it. its just clip art, if you know how to find and add clip art to a word document its easy. (some people ahve a hard time moving the picture anywhere they want on the page.. if you double click the pictures and then layout and click square you can more the clip art anywhere on the page)
