Pi$$ed. Disappointed. Angry. Sad.
I started my 2nd IVF cycle last Tuesday. I was taking Estrace (estrogen) which was supposed to "prime" my ovaries and get me more eggs than my 1st cycle (I had 10 retrieved, 7 mature).
Well, in a nutshell, that totally didn't work.  I've been for monitoring 3x now, and it's not working. I have only a few follicles, and most aren't progressing properly.
I had been staying positive and hopeful for the last week, as I couldn't figure out WHY this would go south, but today's appt sealed the deal that IVF #2 won't be happening this month. We will be turning it into an IUI early next week.
I've been at this for over 2 years now. I always kinda figured that IVF would be the answer. I didn't anticipate running into this cr@p. Naive, probably. But still really upsetting. 
We cancelled a trip this weekend for this cycle. I'm just so upset. Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry. I didn't have a good response on the estrogen priming protocol either. I hate to say it, but sometimes it is hit or miss. We hit it on our 5th try but I'm hoping that you have more luck.

I had 8 fertilized, 5 made it to day 3, 2 implanted and I have twins. I don;t think your number swere too bad! are you doing acupuncture?
