Pill after pregnancy
Forgive me if I am posting thisquestion on the wrong board, but perhaps you can answer a question for me.
I am not PG yet, but I am curious to know how soon after delivery is it safe to go back on the pill if I have no intention of breast feeding? Thanks for your input.

Re: Pill after pregnancy
I was told by my doc that we will discuss BC at my 6-8 week post pardum checkup. You can't have intercourse for 6-8 weeks anyway so BC does not matter at that time. If you are not breast feeding, I don't see why you couldn't go back on the pill.

Re: Pill after pregnancy
most doctors want you to wait until your first cycle. At my 6 week visit my doct gave me the prescription, but told me to wait until after I had my 1st period.

Re: Pill after pregnancy
Thanks ladies. Since going off the pill to TTC, I am brought back to remember why I went on in the first place. Cramps, the change in AF and mood are really getting the best of me lately.

Re: Pill after pregnancy
Yup, at the 6 week check up they "have the talk" with you. By then most women [from vaginal birth] are healed and have likely had their first period post-partum.
