Pillow and mattress ??'s
My back has been killing me every morning when I wake up, I think it's time for a new mattress and pillows.
How many pillows do you sleep with and are they firm or soft?
Also, what kind of mattress do you have? Do you like it? Approx. how much $$ was it??
TIA

Re: Pillow and mattress ??'s
we went to the Macy's about a year ago and got all new pillows. We have 4 total, I have 1 medium and dh has 2 firm and 1 soft.
We ended up with Calvin Klein Home pillows...I drink name brand coffee (dunkin, starbuck's, 7-11 ..) when it comes to pillows its all about personal comfort.
Before you go spending mucho dinero on a new mattress. take a field trip to Macy's for pillows....it made a world of difference!!
Do not be embarrassed to get down on the ground and test the pillows at the store *with the plastic still on, of course*!!
ETA: I don't know the price we paid for them...but MAcy's is always having a sale so it could not have been too much!

Re: Pillow and mattress ??'s
Macy's is a good place for pillows. The ones I've gotten there have always lasted forever and I got CK pillows there when I was in like 10 th grade and had them until recently!
As far as how many pillows I sleep with --- 3. Two under my head and one knee pillow. I started doing this when I was pregnant and still do it now since I still get sciatica once in a while now andit's just comfortable!

Re: Pillow and mattress ??'s
I have one soft and one medium. I alternate between which one I use at night
DH has a firm and a medium. He used to sleep with both but has not been happy with that situation so he is now using one a night. He's actually sleeping better and not making as many noises at night

Re: Pillow and mattress ??'s
I just bought a kingsdown queen it's a 4-2 and it is awesomeit's in between a firm and a soft bed. My sister has a 2 which is really soft her and her dh love it, but it's a little to soft for me so I got the in between and that was around $1600, plus I bought firm pillows by Laura Ashley at BEd bath and beyond on sale 12.99 and they are very comfortable

I have 3 pillows, all down feathers. I don't know the mattress, I think it's a Serta. My dh is the mattress expert.

Re: Pillow and mattress ??'s
I have one of those swedish foam mattresses. LOVE IT! I got it at Suffolk Discount Mattress Warehouse in Commack. I have always gotten my beds there. They are so cheap because they are "last year's model". Who knew they had seasonal mattresses?

Re: Pillow and mattress ??'s
I would def recommend getting a down featherbed. It is like sleeping on a cloud. I have this one from Fortunoff. Makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning. If you get one make sure it is a baffle box kind so the feathers don't move.
