Pimples galore! What can the Derm give me?

I am @ 10 weeks and going to the Derm this weekend. My face looks HORRIBLE since I got preggo. Its 10x worse than puberty! Is there anything that the Derm can actually give me? Should I double check it with my doc before using it?


ETA: for anyone that has been through this have you found a product (from the derm or OTC) that worked well for you?

My chin is all broken out and i've just been putting alcohol on the pimples.

I did that once and it made it worse

When I went to the derm. they told me to use Dial Soap (the yellow bar) for my body, and cetaphil cleanser for my face. It hasn't helped. Dr. said he didn't like to prescribe anything with either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.

I had a bad outbreak in my first trimester. I bought a witch-hazel soap from Wild by Nature, and it helped clear my skin. Now that I am more sensitive to smells, I can't use it anymore.

I had the same thing until about 18 weeks then my skin decided to calm down. My derm told me to use Cetaphil and she prescribed Finacea to use at night. That seemed to help alot.

finacea can be drying at first while your skin gets used to it so moisture and dont use too much at once.
