Since then a little has turned into alot and its now both eyes...
He was so cranky tonight, and wouldnt go to sleep...
Are we thinking pink eye?
I dont know where he couldve gotten- but I guess anything is possible

Not sure if pink eye would travel that fast.
I would see if there is major goop in the am. If there is try to get your pediatrician to call in drops to a pharmacy (saves you a co-pay & the doctor's visit). This is one of the many reasons I adore my pediatrician.

Yes, I meant eye to eye. Is it possible he could've gotten sunblock in his eyes during bath time too?

Re: Pink eye?
even if you put it on earlier if he sweats or gets wet it could be possible. it happened to one of my boys once at disneyworld hours after i put it on and his eye was red and burning and tearing. i took him to first aid and they flushed it out and then he was ok.

Re: Pink eye?
Christopher just got over pink eye. It didn't switch to the other eye until a few days later. In fact, his one eye was so mild that I thought he had just scraped it. It wasn't until a few days later when things started getting worse instead of better that I took him to the doctor. Honestly, if they're still red in the morning (especially, if they're MORE red), I'd bring him to the dr. just to get checked out.

Re: Pink eye?
If it is pink eye, its extremely contagious. Most kids dont get the bacterial kind like you get in high school from sharing make up. Its generally viral and they can get it in assocation with a cold or something else viral. Either way, make sure you wash your hands constantly and definitely call the doctor or bring him in after you see how it looks in the morning.
ETA: Viral pink eye wouldnt produce tons of discharge so even if theres no discharge, still call your pediatrician. And its more painful than bacterial pink eye. I feel like an expert on the subject...my daughter had it back in March and I ended up catching it and it was so bad, I looked like someone beat me up.

We had a horrible night- but he woke up w/ clear eyes this morning???
So nix the pink eye idea? And crack the crankiness up to being over tired?

I would guess that. I had an allergic reaction to a cat once - that worsened after showering. The water took the dander into my eyes. My eyes were completely red. Hope this was it!
