Pins and needles sensation
for the past 2 days, I have had a pins and needles like sensation on my right hand side, right above my rib. I asked the dr about it yesterday, and she said that she has heard of people getting that feeling around their belly button, but wasn't sure what I was feeling.
I'm thinking maybe the baby is on a nerve? Has this happened to anyone? Thanks!

Re: Pins and needles sensation
I used to get it in my fingers all the time. A sort of carpel tunnel. It was so weird to have that feeling and have my fingers be numb at times. But I never had it anywhere else.

Same here and that's what my doc. said too! I get it when I sleep and it isn't always the arm/had I am leaning on ... weird!

Re: Pins and needles sensation
Its not in the hands or fingers, but in my stomach. I tried to research it, but cannot find anything. Has any experienced it in their stomach? Thanks!

Re: Pins and needles sensation
YEP!!!!!!!! ME!!!!!!
This is the first time I have heard someone else experiencing this! From the time I hit about 6 months to the day I had her, I had this feeling. It just got worse and worse and it literally drove me crazy. It would be even worse if I was sitting for a long time. When I got up I would feel so numb. I would have to take my hand and push on my stomach to get any relief.
I found out after I had her, that her foot was stuck in my rib cage..literally stuck! She was on a nerve which was doing this. The bigger she got, the more stuck she got. When she was born, she actually had a mark on her leg from where it was stuck inside of me. Really crazy! But I know the feeling your talking about and let me tell you..even now, I get little twangs every now and then and my dd is almost 6 months old! Hope it gets better for ya!

Thanks for posting. Its nice to know Im not the only one. I really hope that the babies foot is not stuck. That would really stink as the baby gets bigger. Mine started about the same time yours did. Strange right?!?!

Re: Pins and needles sensation
Very strange and everyone I asked, including the doctor had never heard of that before. It totally goes numb...is yours worse when you first stand up from a sitting position?? I really hated that feeling, it wasnt an excited baby moving feeling, it was very annoying.
