You are entitled to vent We are here to help each other
I am so sorry you are in pain. It is amazing what we do...isn't. I don't have personal experience with PIO injections, but I just wanted to let you know...

Re: PIO Injection-vent
I hate PIO!! My tush hurt for 2 weeks, but if there's a baby cooking in there, it's well worth it. We ended by buying a heating pad. I think it helped a bit, but I don't think there's really anyway around being sore!!
I hope all those PIO injects are well worth it!! Lots of luck to you!!

Re: PIO Injection-vent
I totally know what you mean. The shot itself I didn'f find to be that bad, but the afterwards totally sucked. It hurt to sit, lay down, etc. Even though it was uncomfortable, I still would choose PIO over Endometrin which is so gross!

Re: PIO Injection-vent
I know it hurts the next day. Make sure after you inject you massage the area well to distribute the oil. It hurts less the next day.

Re: PIO Injection-vent
ive been on PIO for about 8 weeks now. i have NO WHERE left to shoot. every spot hurts and/or itches!! try using a heating pad for at least 20 minutes after the injection. its helped me immensely.

Re: PIO Injection-vent
Although I don't have a single spot left, we've been alternating between arms and buttocks, but I remember the nurse said you can also shoot in the thigh. Switch up to give parts time to heal. My aunt recommended using Neosporin on the spots to help heal quicker.

Re: PIO Injection-vent
A heating pad works. Just put it on afterward and let it sit for 15 minutes or so. Make sure you are doing the shots in the right spot. My DH was doing them in the wrong spot so the nurse circled the area where they should be done I felt better after.

Re: PIO Injection-vent
I would use the heating pad BEFORE and after.
Before was key for me or I would be SUPER sore and get bruises. I think it helped to oosen up the muscle.

Re: PIO Injection-vent
I did a couple of cycles with PIO and was sore for weeks after. This last cycle , my new nurse suggested putting the vial in my bra for 10-15 minutes before the injection. It really worked !! I did it for 12 weeks the last time and not one welt or anything! You can even see the liquid in the vial looks thinner after it's warm. The other thing I did was to massage the spot after injection and I didn't sit down right away. Someone suggested squats to me or just walking or going up and down the stairs a couple of times to keep the muscle warm and moving. HTH ~ good luck tonight !
