Place to donate clothes near Massapequa/West Babylon area?
I cleaned out my dressers and my closet this morning and have a bunch of women's stuff (mostly medium tops and tanks and size 10-12 in pants all styles).
Is there a place you would recommend to donate nearby? I was going to have a yard sale, but at this point, I would rather just donate it and get it out of my house in case that never happens.
I would like to see it go to someone who really needs it.

There's a Salvation Army on 109 in W. Babylon North of Montauk Hwy.
I'm not sure if they are still there, but there were a few drop bins on NY Ave in Massapequa just West of Broadway. I think one of them is Big Brothers Big Sisters and I also think there was one from a battered women's shelter.

At most Rail Road stations you will find drop off boxes for different charities. If you drop it off at a center, you will get a receipt for tax purposes.

We go to Goodwill in Bellmore. It's on Merrick Rd. They also give you a receipt that you can use for a tax deduction which is sweet.

I've been using Lupus and Ovarian Cancer. They actually set up a date to come pick up the items at your house. It's very convenient. I've always been weary of those drop off bins. I've heard they turn the items into rags/scraps.
