Places for a Christening
Does anyone have any recommendation for restaurants for DS Christening? We live in the Setauket area and are looking for a nice place that would hold about 50 people with room to spare in Stony Brook, Setauket, Smithtown or St. James areas? TIA

I think 3VI is cute but the food hasn't been so great the last few times I've been there.
What about Country House? Not sure if they have a large enough private room though.

What about Garden Grill in Smithtown? Depending on the time of the year you might be able to take over the upstairs area.

Re: Places for a Christening
I STRONGGGLLYYYYYY recommend AnnaMaria's in Smithtown.
The downstairs room is private and very spacious. The food is OUT=RAGE-USSS! They also have room upstairs, but we were concerned about kids running around the place, with the bar, stairs, etc. so we chose the downstairs.
I really thought everyone that said the food was good, was just saying it.
well my VERY ITALIAN family, the ever so critical Italian family, was baffled and just completely AMAZED at how incredible the food was. Just top notch, delicious!
I worked with Diane, she was awesome

If there are any toddlers I would vote against garden grill. I might be wrong but I went there 2-3 times to check it out for parties (the upstairs room) and from what I remember, you go up the stairs and you are standing IN the room, with half the room to your left and half to your right. felt very small and on top of the fact that the stairs are the dead center of the room. very strange layout in my opinion (I just think of kids first when planning parties).
But Ive been there for a shower, and its a wonderful place and the food is delicious!!!
