Places for a Christening in the Port Jeff area
I am looking for a place that has a private room and is not too $$$. Any ideas?

We rented out the building at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai. You have to bring in your own food, but the price is very reasonable and I loved that little kids could go to the playground for a while. I looked into the Port Jeff Village center and had my heart set on it, but it was expensive. Good Luck!

There is a Polish club on Jayne Blvd next to the firehouse. I hear it's pretty nice.

I second the Heritage Center. We had DD's first b-day party there in June, and 3 guests asked me for the info for their parties because they loved it.

I called there at it was $600 to rent. I thought that sounded pretty high. The firehouse is only $300. But it is not that nice.

I had my baby shower at Pace's and it was great. I also had a bridal shower for a friend at the Port Jeff Village Center...next to Danfords...that was great too.

Yikes, that's a lot! I would check out the Heritage Center like the other girls have posted. I've never been to a party, but I've been inside and it's nice. Plus it's really reasonable and you have that big huge playground right there if you are having kids.
