Carosello on Cross Bay Blvd in Howard Beach.

Verdi's in Whitestone (also one in Westbury).

Abbraciamento's on Woodhaven Blvd (this place is in the Middle Village area).

All great Italian restaurants.

I have been to private parties at...

Woodhaven House
O'Neils
Bourbon Street (Bell/Bayside)

and they were all lovely -- good food/service! Private rooms, etc.

Tell her to try:
* Connolley's Corner on Grand Ave (the old Matchmakers)
* O'Neil's on 65th Place
* Abbracimento's on Woodhaven
* Woodhaven House on Woodhaven
* Barosa's on Woodhaven (downstairs room is small)
* Albertos' on Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills

I second Alberto's in Forest Hills.

Also, Dee's in Forest Hills does private parties and the food is great!

I know that Austin Ale House in Kew Gardens does a nice party.

I recommend Nick & Maggies on Union Tpk. We had our Rehearsal Dinner there and the food was amazing.
