Any suggestions for this weekend are appreciated ! We're staying @ the Hotel Palomar which is close to Dupont Circle .........
But we'll go anywhere -

Not at Dupont Circle, but behind the Capital building in a very cute area - Belga is a Belgian restuarant. It was probably one of the best meals - service, food, wine - that we have ever had.

Remember that a lot of restaurants are closed on Sundays. We found ourselves with not many options there last Sunday... we were 10 minutes away from being stuck eating at McDonalds and I was pizzed.

I lived a block from there on O Street! Obelisk is delicious (and on DuPont Circle), but I think only open Tues-Sat.

Re: Places to dine in DC?
im jealous- i love dc- i sooo wanted to go this weekend.
im just recommending places i have been- there are MANY other places!
i liked Neylas (georgetown)- its middle eastern- you sit outside- they have awesome food its sort of euro-trashy but the food is great and "different" - inside its very sexy- candle light and big pillows and draped fabric on setees
you definitely need to check out old ebbot grille for lunch - its right near the white house. dh and i met the presidents tailor there- long story but he ended up making my husbands tuxedo for our wedding! all from our lunch at the old ebbot. great raw bar, great sandwiches and great lunch hummus palte is good)
if its nice outside stop in for a drink at old glory (georgetown)- its a younger type joint but they have a cool upstairs patio - good for a quick blue moon beer between shopping on M street. they also have good bbq food there- (very casual though!)
i also think a drink or maybe high tea at the willard intercontinental http://www.washington.interconti.com/washa/dining_05.html
Zola i hear is fabulous but i have not been http://www.zoladc.com/
also - international spy museum is really fun!
