Iron Hill Brewery, about 10 minutes from DW but we really liked it, not typical chain restaurant food. kid friendly when we went for a late lunch
on the main road there are a ton of chain type places.

Don't miss Miller's Smorgasbord!
Hershey Farms is pretty good for breakfast at least. I've never been there for dinner.
A lot of people rave about Willow Valley, but I thought the food was beyond gross there...so I'd avoid it...

Re: places to eat in lancaster
you NEED to go to Shady Maple Smorgasbord for breakfast and dinner at some point. Its so cheap and the amount of food is insane, I don't know how this place was never on the food network yet. It's about 20 min or so from Dutch Wonderland but it is a MUST. As someone else mentioned you also NEED to go to Millers Smorgasbord for breakfast and or lunch/dinner as well. My family and I go to Lancaster several times a year so If you have any questions FM me

OMG millers! i haven't been to lancaster in years but I remember millers. you HAVE to go there. There is also (or at least used to be) a bakery right outside it that may or may not have been affiliated that made the BEST sticky buns.

I only had breakfast there.. but we loved it!! It was a couple of years ago.. I think before it officially changed to Doubletree but it was great and the kids were crazy for the rainbow bread and .. well EVERYTHING else! LOL
We also really liked Good N' Plenty for dinner. We used to go there when I was younger so it was one of those things where I was compelled to see if it was like I remembered it. It wasn't exactly.. but it was good! Lots of food, not a bad price.. plenty for everyone and good service!

Millers was excellent Huge buffet. We also ate at Dienners Country Restaurant which was a lot smaller but so good. Almost forgot we had an really good breakfast at Huckleberry's Restaurant, which is the restaurant in the steamboat inn.

Haha...this pretty much happens anytime DH and I have gone there. We can barely move after. Everything is so freaking good
DH and I have also been to both Good 'n Plenty & Plain 'n Fancy. We prefer Plain 'n Fancy. The meats at Good 'n Plenty were very dry when we went there.
