Places to go tubing 2-3 hr away??
Any places within driving distance of long Island (no more then 2-3 hrs) to go tubing, and anything else?? no skiing. If its there its fine but we don't want to plan on it.
Hotel reccomendations too??

LOL!!!! I *totally* thought you meant tubing in the WATER -- I have never done the snow tubing thing so that didn't come to my mind and I'm thinking, maybe she is planning a summer trip now?? Then, I read your post and it made it like you wanted to do it soon and do I realize that you mean snow tubing?? NOOOO... I think, but isn't it too COLD?? Then, I still don't realize because I'm a moron -- and I think, do they have INDOOR tubing?? LOL it did not hit me until I clicked on the thread the AP provided talk about STUPID

We've gone snowtubing at Jack Frost/Big Boulder & Camelback (LINK) and IMO the tubing was better at camelback. By better I mean the slopes were faster and they had double & family sized tubes. I believe JF/BB only has single person tubes.
If you go on the weekend get there early! It gets packed quick!

No, not stupid at all! If she was talking about water tubing they could do that too at the Great Wolf Lodge. They have an indoor waterpark (LINK). Never been there but heard it was nice and $$$ though.

wow thanks for that info. I looked into Jack frost but it doesn't seem like there are many hotels that have any available rooms left. I will try camelback now thanks! Any hotels that you like in and around that area??

We went to Mountain Creek in NJ last year. Had a blast. We only went for the day, but I know there were lots of hotels around there.

We took my 7 yo dd and she LOVED it! Besides the water park, she just loved this interactive game/adventure called magiquest that goes on throughout the whole resort. (off topic, sorry OP )
