Places to have a small party in Suffolk...
We want to keep the party for DS's christening small - just immediate family, which is about 30 people, including 5 under age 12. The problem is that almost everywhere requires a minimum of 30 people and we know certain people on DH's side will not go and we will not make the minimum. The other problem is that the church is at 1pm on a Sat, so we'd like to do it at 3pm, which is an odd time because it is the end of lunch and many places want us to start at 5pm which we do not want to do since there is so much time in between.
Any suggestions on places in Suffolk where we can have it? I prefer the Babylon/Islip area, but am getting desperate now!! I've already contacted Francesco's in Babylon and they are booked and Carriage House in Babylon, but the time would not work.
Thanks.

Maybe the Beachtree in East Islip?

Papa Joe's in Deer Park. I'm pretty sure it's Deer Park, but it's on Commack Rd, so it might be Commack--across from the Home Depot and new Tanger.
It's the only place I can think of right now even close to that area.

Not near there, but J&R's in Medford, StonyBrook have a 25 PP min and are very reasonably priced.

We had ours at Sea Levels in Brightwaters... We had 30 people also. The place is really nice & cozy, food is great! You get the whole place to yourselves. The party can start anytime you need. It was $25.00 per person.

You can try Larkfield Pasta in East Northport. Last time I checked them out it was only $20pp b/c they don't have liquor.
