Places to order "big kid" furniture
So we have decided to move miki's whole crib set into the spare room for baby #2 and we will need to get a bedroom set for miki. any suggestions?

I'm assuming from your post you're not ready to go to traditional adult furniture yet . .
Behr's in Massapequa?
Sukons in Ozone Park?
I saw big kid furniture in both.
Then there's always Pottery Barn Kids.

Don't you live in NC? The furniture capital of the world!  When we lived there, we found some great pieces at various places in High Point and Thomasville.

We have friends who moved from Long Island to Charlotte, and when we visited them, her furniture was beautiful.
She decorated the entire house with furniture from Rooms To Go. She said there were show rooms there.
We ordered our bedroom set as well as Ava's. The furniture is absolutely beautiful and the quality is great. The delivery and customer service were great too.
The set we got for Ava is soo pretty, and she will be able to use it until she is grown, let me see if I can post a pic. Image Attachment(s):

I would definitley check out Furniture Land South, but I have to say that when we were there, I don't remember seeing a lot of kids stuff - Mostly Stanley (but that was 4 years ago - maybe things have changed...)
We are in the process of ordering for DD (same situation as you are in) and I think that we are going to order from Costco. They have some nice sets on their site and when I was in the warehouse this past week, they had one on display (which was good since I was a little bit concerned about the quality).
I am not personally a fan of PBK, since the quality isn't too great and the prices are so high. I also want something in white and all of PBK's stuff is an off white color.
