Plastic play food or all natural wooden play food?
Which would you get?
I'm leaning towards the all natural wooden, but wondering about the chewing factor

I like the "realistic" factor of the plastic food. We don't have any wooden food though so I can't comment on the chewing aspect of it. I might get Emma the M&D cookies for xmas.
I do really like the velcro food that they can pretend to cut and it makes a cutting noise. I think Melissa and Doug might make some wooden versions of those.

Nova Naturals have some pretty great sets....and I think they'd be very safe coming from that company.
I guess I can mix and match

I got Noah the plastic and while he eats and chews on just about everything...he really doesnt chew too much if at all on these. I was pleasantly surprised, especially because I couldnt really afford the wooden ones.

Lily has some plastic food ....and it's covered in bite marks! She eats her wooden blocks too though, so I guess either would be ok. I like the look and the price of the plastic.

I like the idea of the naturals too, but I know her kitchen comes with some plastic food and I'll let her use that too, I'll probably even buy some more plastic food. She tries to stick other random plastic toys in her mouth already, so I'm not sure how hard I'll focus on finding her "natural" foods as I originally thought I wanted to.
