platelets in the body?
um what do they do? why are they there? if you have too many or too little what does that mean?

they're in your blood 
They aid in clotting, so if you have too many, you clot a LOT and are at higher risk for blockages and aneurisms ---(I was on meds for this for 2 years), and if you have too little, you don't clot. (Ever hear of hemophilia?)
