Play for a 4 montgh old
I see people say that their babies play. I even read someone said they should be awake for 2 hours. What do you do with a baby who cannot sit for 2 hrs? I need ideas. I already use: exersaucer, boppy(tummy time), gymini, holding in lap, etc.

DS LOVES his mobile. It entertains him for a long time. He also loves the swing again. The bouncer has been a lifesaver for us.

Re: Play for a 4 montgh old
once DS was able to hold his head up well i put him in the jumperoo a lot - he loves to jump in it, there are several toys to keep him entertained, and he is safe (i can walk away and he can't get out).
i also used the gym mat (for tummy time and for when he was on his back) and even now that he is older i can put him in the PNP with about 20 stuffed animals and put the mobile on and he is happy for a while.
at that age they can start to learn how to entertain themselves - they just need a little color and motion to get them started i think!

Oh OK-I was thinking play like involved with something! Thanks everyone-Stef-I was thinking about the Einsteins but din't want to buy them. My friend has some for me-I have to get her to mail them over. LB-I didn't even think about the jumperoo-though they were too young. Ronan is still a bit floppy but Declan has great head and neck control and could probably use it!

mel, when miki was still a bit floppy, I used to put her in the jumparoo and stick a blanket or towel behind her to fill up the space so she did not move arouond too much, you could try that
