Played Rock Band for the first time tonight...
DH made us stop cuz the Steelers playoff game is on in a bit...
Anyway, DH played guitar, I sang. We're both Guitar Hero veterans. Too frickin' hilarious as I'm singing songs that I don't know from a hole in the wall. I was relieved when I got to sing songs I really knew like the Clash, the Stones, Radiohead, Nirvana...
So those of you playing Guitar Hero- what did you play? Guitar, drums, bass, vocals? What songs did you rock out on?
I was cracking up singing the songs I didn't know- our neighbors musta been like, "That girl can't sing for shiiit!" When in actuality, that's how I make a living, somewhat!! I've never sung so off-key in my life!!!

Re: Played Rock Band for the first time tonight...
I have never played any of these games and after reading so much about them I want to go out and buy them tonight.
I never sing in key. I can never tell if other people are bad, I think everyone is great. DH can sing he said I should win an award for worst singer ever. All this time in the car when he has been turning up the radio I thought it was because he really liked the song when in reality it was to drown me out.

What's funny is that my DH can't sing to save his life- and I'd rather hear him sing than any singer who goes flat or sharp ANY day!
DH sings more often and loudly than I do! He complains I never sing. But um hello, I sing for hours a day with my students - gotta give it a rest!
Well, except for Rock Band.

Re: Played Rock Band for the first time tonight...
my friend has it---and we played for hours last wknd. we all took turns to try everything out. not to toot my own horn, but i'm pretty good at the guitar for GH-(usually play on hard and trying to master expert). so i did the best on that.
drums---playing on easy was just that....easy. no problems there--on medium i was losing it with the pedal!
vocals----pretty fun on easy and medium...but it gets more precist on hard!
no matter what --its a good party game and loved it!

Re: Played Rock Band for the first time tonight...
Got the game last weekend.
I play guitar, drums and I sang only one song "Wanted Dead or Alive"
I finished the game in Easy with the Guitar and I'm about 1/4 through with Easy drums.
Hubby plays drums on Easy in the Band and I play Guitar Medium. But when we need more stars I make him play guitar on Medium and I play drums on Medium.
Gotta say I miss the big ending song from Guitar Hero 2. There's no equivilant to "Free Bird"
Not as many old rock songs that I am used to.
I liked playing Black Hole Sun, When you were Young, etc on the last couple segments.
And for those who've played and done the Rio bonus tracks.. (all of them) all I can say is:
TIMMY!!!
