Playing outside in the summer sun
Hi,
Do your kids - toddlers play outside when its hot / humid - i.e during the summer. I know it seems like a dumb question but I have a babysitter for my 2 year old and I work from home. I have noticed this week that while I have sunscreen on dd and she is ready to play outside the babysitter always manages to have her back inside about 20 mins later and I hear her saying to DD that its too hot.
I am a complete nut about protecting dd from the sun but I figured if she has sunscreen on and its morning not mid day sun she should be okay.
But I cannot force the babysitter to go outside with her can I ? she suffers from allergies so I think she is uncomfortable outside.

Re: Playing outside in the summer sun
I tend to go out early with DD (21 months old). We go out from about 8'ish to 10'ish. I have her all sunscreened up & a hat on all the time. My backyard has a lot of shade in the morning so it's not too bad.
In the afternoon (after nap & lunch), DD goes in her kiddie pool and I just put my feet in there to cool off.
When it's really hot, I do limit our time outside. I take her to a store, the baby gym or the mall to play at an indoor playground.
