Playstation 3 - Costco will be selling these on Friday at 8am
Costco.com & the PlayStation 3 November 16, 2006
For anyone who is looking to purchase a PlayStation 3, but doesn’t want to wait in line for the chance to purchase one, Costco.com will be selling them online beginning 8:00am PST on Friday, November 17th.
This item will be available for purchase on costco.com on Friday, November 17, 2006 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The item will be prominently displayed on the homepage of costco.com until it is sold out.
Due to an extremely limited supply, we can accept orders from current Costco members only on a first come, first served basis, with a limit of one unit per household. The Costco warehouses do not have units available at this time.
Supply is limited, so I would expect Costco.com to be very slow beginning around 7:59:30 when everyone starts refreshing their pages like madmen.

I am buying a computer friday for our house.
You can make a ton of money off of it, I would charge it and then sell it on e-bay.

Sony put a ban on selling PS3 on eBay, which means that you could get your auction pulled.

I drove past Wal*Mart , Target, and Best Buy yesterday, and there are hundreds of people camped outside, just waiting.

 can you even imagine??! Dom-Nic posted that she saw people camped out at Best Buy as early as MONDAY!!!! W T H???? they're going to sit out in the elements for almost 2 WEEKS?! these people need to get their heads examined

2 weeks? Playstation 3 comes out tonight at midnight.
That is the reason why I am not buying one. Dont want to risk having the auction pulled. Or losing my account...I worked hard for my feedback rating

They are actually going for a lot more then 2k.
The average is about $3200 but have seen them go to 5k-9k and one that sold at like 15k

Yup Beth is right. As long as you go by the Ebay rules for listing it you wont have a problem.

but once they are in stores- I think the price might drop alittle on ebay- but I could be wrong
they only shipped 400K to the US- which is dumb to me

for 30 days, you were allowed to presell items with certain rules ebay made to protect the buyers and the sellers (more for the sellers)
ebay prices might stay a little high for a while soughta...demand is great but too many people are flipping which will drive down the price. it will be intresting to see how it pans out
