Playtex drop-ins - what do you do when the fast nipple isn't fast enough?
Yael doesn't seem to take in much formula during the day (usually around 20 ounces). She nibbles at the bottle all day at school, 2 ounces here, 3 ounces there.
I poked some holes in the fast nipples to open them up a little, and voila, she gobbled up 8 ounces in about 5 minutes. I think she's just so used to nursing - I had an oversupply so she got used to swallowing A LOT very quickly, and gets bored easily when it takes too long on the bottle.
So, other than poking holes in every single ****** nipple we have in the house and at school, is there anything else I can do? Are there any other nipples I can buy for the playtex drop-ins that are faster?

What about the Y-cut nipples? I'm not sure if playtex makes them, they are usually used for when there is cereal in the bottle.

I *think* playtex makes those - but would it be TOO fast? Has anyone tried the Y-cut, without cereal?

I am not sure if they make them, I have looked for them several times and can not seem to find them.

I just bought 8 of the Playtex y-cut nipples last week for DD. I got them at TRU, but I've seen them at BRU too. They labeled the package as cereal nipples, but it is a y-cut. I've used them with DS with and without cereal in a bottle. DD's using them with cereal to help her weight gain. It's nice because the baby can control the flow of the milk.
With both kids, it took them a few days to figure out how to suck out of the bottle because they have to bite down when they suck. Once she figured it out, she downs her bottles in less than 10 minutes!
