We use the Vent Airs. I do not like the Dr. Brown's and neither did Ava.

I would try switching. Do you BF? Maybe it is something in your diet or if you formula feed Gentlease has almost totally eliminated Andrew's gas. He used to be so bad. The only draw back is that he farts all the timeChat Icon

The Dr. Brown's has been working great for us. I think you just have to fool around with things until you get the right combo.

I'm a doc Brown's fan. We started off with avent and switched to Dr Browns and had great success.

Jordana hated the Playtex vent airs. She loves Dr. Browns. I think it is particular to every baby.

Emily hated Dr. Browns and loves the Playtex nurser Drop-Ins....

It definately depends on the baby, they each have a preference and that must be why there are so many bottle companies and all are sucessful.

Re: Playtex vent aires vs. dr. browns

I've been using Dr. Browns and I like them. DS was having a hard time with gas and ped suggested using Avent but DS wouldn't burp with Avent and had a hard time sucking the nipple. So I went back to Dr Browns and am very happy with them. However, DS still has a problem with farting- he can't pass gas that way and mylacon DOES NOT work.

We never used Dr. Browns, but we've always used VentAires and I love them.

Christopher hated the vent airs. The Dr. Browns combined with Enfamil Gentlease was the only thing that solved his gas issues.

I was not a fan of the ventairs, they always leaked for me, but both of my boys loved the dr brown's.

Maybe it is the formula and not the bottles. Did you notice any improvement with the bottles?

We have a ventaire bottle and I think that the nipples are too hard. We use Dr Brown's normally, and the nipples on those are really soft.

Thats all.
