Pleasantly Surprised!

Well after preparing for the worst, I was pleasantly surprised at our CPSE meeting. When DS started in September, he was receiving speech 3x, O/T 3x and P/T 2x in a full day 8:2:1. Starting in the summer session he will be moving on to a 1/2 day 12:1:1 with only P/T 2x. It was also the district's suggestion that come January, if he has adjusted to this new class and is ready, they could try out a dual program with him staying in his school in the morning and then going to the IN DISTRICT UPK afternoon class with a SEIT.

I cannnot believe how far my little boy has come in such a short period of time. When he started school in September at 2 (turning 3) he was was not speaking in sentences, was completely adult dependant, stimmed constantly and one of his goals was to increase his attention to task from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. I am so proud of him and it gives me such hope for his future
