please advice

I recently had a baby and my dog hasn't adjusted very well to my little girl. He doesn't go after her but he now decides that he can urinate anywhere he wants. i hired a dog walker but that doesn't help, it seems like he urinates while we are sleeping. it is starting to irritate my husband. what can i do??

eh...those CD's are a ploy. The BEST way is to bring something with the baby scent home before baby comes.

My 2 adjusted well to her coming home. They sniffed her in the carseat and pretty much ignored her.

Honestly, it's your dog either marking his territory if he is not fixed or depending on where he's peeing....it's him showing his dominance over the baby which you must STOP immediately.

The dog must know that the baby is above him in the pack.

I suggest holding the infant, calling the dog and giving it some attention at the same time. Gesturing the baby to pet the dog. Even give the dog extra play and love time.

And clean up his messes with Natures miracle...it neutralizes the smell so he'll be less likely to do it in the same spot.

You have a pug, right? They can be very spiteful if they feel they are not getting enough attention. We went through this with my Pug when we brought Loki, our 2nd dog into the house. Try to make sure that time with your dog is not over-shadowed by the baby time. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I mean little things like feeding & walking times. Also, if you can keep the dog in the same area as the baby during changing time, & relaxed time together.
