Please Help - BF Moms Q re: Spit up/Reflux

Hi moms! DS has always been a big spitter upper - but once he hit 9 weeks it was reduced dramatically, now all of a sudden at 11 wks - the past few days, the poor baby is spitting up CONSTANTLY - AND, as opposed to before it is now almost always digested BM rather than just liquid (sorry for the tmi).

What I'm wondering and I'm hoping the more experienced moms can tell me - is this change brought about by me? Am I eating or doing something that has suddenly made the problem worse? It just got soooo much better and then bam - back again twice as bad...

Thanks for any advice you may have Chat Icon

Watch your dairy. DD had this in the beginning and I had to cut out all dairy from my diet. She still (at 5 1/2 months) spits up if I drink any amount of milk Chat Icon

Your DC could have a milk protein allergy.

My son was also constantly spitting up. (My friend would ask me why he was ALWAYS wearing a bib in pictures!!) I tried changing everything about my diet but nothing changed. Your son will outgrow it. My son outgrew it around 6 months. If your son is not in pain, then he's probably ok. Don't let anyone try to persuade you into giving your baby medicine for reflux if he doesn't need it. Hope this helps!
