Re: X-Post: Legal Advice - Please Help!
What I'm really confused about is how he thinks a text message indicating that you CAN work means he should enroll you on disability, indicating that you CANNOT work??

Re: X-Post: Legal Advice - Please Help!
I don't have all the answers, but I have some...
-technically anything you text is "admissible" even if it wasn't directed to him. I'm not sure what your exact text said, but always assume that anything written to anyone at work can be read (and used) by your boss.
-your company can require you to go on STD is you are unable to work, which is what he's assuming. if you can get the note from the dr tomorrow, then you might have a case. but once you're on STD i'm not sure it's worth it or you even could go off and back on again in a month.
-I thought you had said you weren't going back to work after the baby. Maybe your boss knows this and is just trying to move on sooner than later?
-While he cannot fire out you out rightly for being pregnant, they can eliminate your job, even if you're pregnant. It is not illegal.
-My guess is you're on STD now (2/3 of your salary) and once you have the baby, you'll go out on your FMLA, so you'd still have 6 weeks home with the baby. I could be wrong, though. On STD insurance is paying your salary and not the company, which is why I presume he'd rather have you on STD than just home on his own dime.
-If you can get the note tomorrow, they cannot prevent you from bringing it in. Being that he's so against you being in the office, I feel like something else is going on. Maybe he's worried about liability if something happens to you while you're at work. Maybe it's something else. Either way, at this point you're so close to having the baby, I'd just enjoy your time at home and relax. Stressing won't help your situation!
Good luck tomorrow!

X-Post: Legal Advice - Please Help!
Call the department of labor and ask them what to do. They will advise you. It sounds like he is trying to push you out of a job which is illegal to a pregnant woman who is willing and able to work.
Why is he so afraid to have you come in the office? Did he replace you and not tell you? Sounds shady to me.

Re: X-Post: Legal Advice - Please Help!
how can your employer decide to put you out? Isn't that up to your physician?
i would just show up. he is likely just afraid of confrontation.
DOCUMENT EVERYTHING at this point.
