Keep shipping costs as low as possible..ppl dont like spending alot on shipping.
The lower you start your bidding usually the more ppl will jump to bid.
Take good pictures.
Be as detailed about the item as you can.
Good luck!

You really should build your feedback up first. Many buyers are hesitant to purchase an item from a "New User". I would purchase items and build your feedback up to at least "10".
-Just as the other post - Take good pictures. People like to see what they are buying.
-Spell check your listing
-make sure you item is listed in the correct category
-put as much info in the title as you can fit - the more you have the more hits you will get on a search
There are a ton of hints like if your gonna start an item at $1.00 - the listing fee is .25 cents - If you start it at .99 cents the listing fee is only .20 cents.
Check the Ebay Community Disscussion Board for New to Ebay Board - There is alot of good info on there.
Good Luck!!!

If there is anything wrong with something, or if the packaging is dented, be sure to mention it in the listing. People can sometimes be anal about stuff like that and then complain that you misrepresented.

use the HTML tutorial so that you can make your listing look good with colored fonts and different sizes. I ALWAYS center my text and takes lots of pics.
If you are unsure of shipping costs, use the calculator in your listing or take it to the post office and they will weigh it for you so you can quote shipping costs appropriately.
If you plan on doing it regularly, you might want to invest in a postal scale so you can weigh stuff at home.
I also buy things on clearance and sell on Ebay for profit. (For example, Walmart had GameCube Wavebird controllers on clearance for $20, I sold it for a total of $36...$16 dollar profit)
