PLEASE help!!!!!!!! Has Anyone ever chartered a private bus??
I am looking to charter a private bus to bring about 40 passengers from my house to Atlantic City for a day trip for my husband's surpise 40th birthday in August.
I've called a few places. Seems like the running rate is almost $3,000! 
Has anyone ever chartered a bus? If so...about how much did you pay?
At first I was looking at some CRAZY buses with granite floors and bathrooms, plasmas, a stripper pole, couches, booming systems. Yeah...that all comes with a hefty price tag! 
Now I just want a clean bus with a bathroom.
Any recommendations???

Try Acme Bus. I don't have their phone number right now. We used them for our wedding and they were cheap and clean:)

We used the Party Ride for my wedding. It was gorgeous - bar, plasmas, light show and it DID have a stripper pole actually!
We paid under 1000 - but I know we got a bit of a discount because one of my good friends is a manager there. But you should call them and see what you can negotiate! I think they have lower cost buses too.

We chartered one to the vineyards for a wedding from east northport. it was $800.
I'm guessing 3000 might be about righ

I used The Bus Bank to charter a bus between my wedding reception and the hotel. I don't remember what we paid, but they were reasonable and we had no problems.

My job just booked a bus for 7/12 to go to AC with Classic Coach......I think the total was only $1500....My job paid the $250 deposit & everyone going will have to pay $50 each. from that money we pay the balance for the bus & tip the driver. Anything left over goes towards snacks for the ride.
I am not 100% sure of the price because I don't have a copy of the paperwork. But I know if it was anywhere near $3000 my job woul dnot be setting this up fpr us. We have used Classic Coach in the past to go to AC, Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods. The buses are nothing fancy but the driver are always very nice!
