Please help me pick out paint

I'm having such a hard time picking our "main" color. Chat Icon It will be in the living room, stairway, hallway and upper half of my dining room wall.

We've 99% decided on BM "Georgian Brick" for the lower half of the wall. Chat Icon

I wanted to stay in the "brown" family, but my sofa and loveseat are a "cocoa" color. Would that look bad? Chat Icon Chat Icon

I need to let my painter know the colors we chose by Wednesday. Chat Icon

TIA!!

This is very close to the color of my sofa/loveseat.

ETA: I have a cape so the DR is open into the LR.

Re: Please help me pick out paint

What about something lighter on top like a beige? We used BM Shabby Chic for our LR and hallway. Pictures are in my album.

Me personally, I like dark cozy living rooms. I would paint it the room a chocolate color. I believe BM makes a color called, "chocolate".

I think that couch would look great in a room with chocolate colored walls, chocolate silk curtains and dark brown pillows.

If that seems too dark you should try something in the latte family.

I was going to suggest a "latte" color as well...or maybe something a few shades lighter than your couch? That might work well with the brick color!

My sofa/LS are somewhat similar to yours. I painted BM Adobe Beige. Not too dark but just the right brown.
Very pretty couch! Chat Icon

Thank you ladies. I'm off to check out these color suggestions! Chat Icon

That's not my couch, BTW. It was just the closest color I could find. It is cute, though! Chat Icon

def a tan/beige. since there is a good amount of rust/terracotta in the georgian brick, you have to be careful what shades of tan/beige you choose. are you dead set on the GB for the lower half? have you considered other "reds". if you opt for the GB, look at:

richmond bisque
navajo white
putman ivory
carrington beige
shaker beige

Sorry, I didn't realize I wrote chocolate colored walls and chocolate silk curtains! Chat Icon

I wouldn't do dark on dark, sorry about that...I would do the dark walls with a beige silk curtain, one that would go with the couches or a latte color with chocolate silk curtains.

Sorry about that, HTH!

i like warm colors too but IMO chocolate walls would be too dark and wouldn't blend well w/ georgian brick.
