Please help with DD's christmas dress need sweater and hair accessories.
This is DD's Christmas dress from Janie and Jack - Obviously, need a sweater - but the ones they sell are so long - she will be 11 months on Christmas (10mos for her photos) and is very petite so I wanted something short and cropped. I found a creme sweater at children's place but, I think red would be more festive but, can't seem to find a red cropped cardigan anywhere. I think I could do black as well since that is how they were showing it at janie and jack or even a deep hunter green. I've looked gymboree, childrens place, gap, bloomies, lord and taylor - can't find it - please help! DS will be wearing a matching button down shirt with likely a hunter green sweater or sweater vest.
Also, am looking for a cute headband to match the dress - the wrap around one janie and jack sells - the bow is ridiculously big and looks bad - also, it is a bit tight on her head. The dress is silk dupioni.

Try etsy for the bow or I just saw one at target in the children's section. As for the sweater did you try carters.

I didn't try carters - good idea!
I hate ordering headbands from etsy b/c I can never tell how big the bow/flower thing is going to look and how stretchy the headband material will be. I hate spending the money and being stuck with it. I do have back ups on etsy though in case I can't find one IRL or one online that I can easily return. Thanks though!

Honestly, I think the dress w tights and nice shoes will be fine. J&J would surely have had a matching shrug/sweater as they sell whole "looks." if you buy a shrug/cardigan, the fabric and colors won't match well. But, if you're really set on a sweater to wear over it, try eBay. I bought the cutest brand new black sweater shrug for my daughter last year for a few bucks.
As far as accessories, I agree about the size of j&j's bows. They're giant!! Try claires, etsy or any place that cuts children's hair-- they usually have a good selection.
Good luck!! The dress is gorgeous and perfect for the holidays!

Carters has a cropped red sweater. I saw it at Kohls and JC Penney.

DD will wear the same dress for xmas and she is just about the same age as your dd....I got a cropped sparkly black sweater at the Gap (a while back but it is a part of their holiday stuff so should still be online). Got black patent shoes at target and a friend is making me a red floral headband... 
This is the gap cardigan...it has a sparkle so it is perfect
