Please help with fall/winter wardrobe questions!
I've come to realize I really S U C K at figuring out what DS needs as far as clothes. I'm at a complete loss because he's growing so quickly and the sizes are so different!!! I'm also from Florida so I have a hard time figuring out what he needs for the different seasons. Please help!
He we be 10 weeks old on Wednesday and he is 25" long and 15lbs. He has pretty much grown out of the 3 month Carter's size. He's in Old Navy 3-6months. Not really sure yet about Children's Place, but I know he outgrew their 0-3 jeans (that's the only thing I've put him in of theirs yet).
What do I need for him for fall and winter? I took inventory today and this is what I have (it's mostly gifts from my shower and after he was born):
7 long sleeve onesies 3 footie pj's 1 play one-piece 5 sweatsuits/nylon pants 2 plain sweatshirts 3 pairs jeans (Old Navy size 6-12) 1 zippered hoodie (Old Navy size 6-12) 4 long sleeve tees
The only thing I have in 9-12 are 3 play one-pieces.
He won't be in daycare and he really only goes to friends & family's houses and running errands with me. Any advice on things I need would be welcomed! Also, what sizes should I get based on how he's growing?

For the fall i would buy size 6-12 months if he's 15 pounds now. Some brands run smaller than others too. I always thought Old Navy and Children's Place ran small while Gap ran true to size.

Well, the good thing about fall and winter is that the seasons are long and clothes will be readily available until about right after Xmas.
I would start stocking up on 6-12 and then see how he's growing before you buy 12-18. Only you know your lifestyle and climate so as far as what to buy, I can't help you. Long Sleeve onesie oufits will probably be your best bet.

I have a similar problem since my DD#2 is growing a lot faster than DD#1 did. At 8 months, she is in 12m clothing and some 18m. Anyway, to answer your question, I would buy a few Carters outfits in 6 months, 9 months and 12 months. Keep the tags on everything until it's time to use them, and then return what you don't use. At your son's rate, I bet that you'll be returning all of the 6 month clothes. Odds are, you won't be using them until end of Sept/Oct so he will most likely grow a few more inches until then. I find Carters to have generous sizing, whereas Old Navy runs small/narrow. I did not use any long sleeve onesies, but rather, always had them in short sleeved onesies underneath their clothing. It's frustrating, but if you wash and wear at the last minute, when they need the clothes, I find I waste a lot less and can return what doesn't fit. HTH!
ETA: I find Carters to be good quality, very affordable and love the little long sleeve bodysuit/pants sets they offer. So cute!

I would get sleepers from carters in size 6, 9, and 12 months. Carter's has great open leg chinos for baby boys. I would also pick up some sweat pants. For day time I would get baby gap long sleeve oneseis in 6-12 or 12-18 months. I would get their lined overalls in 6-12 and 12-18 months, a pair of loose fit and a pair of classic fit jeans. I would also get a zippered sweater or zipper front sweat shirt.
I would get some bigger socks and robiez to cover DCs feet. Lastly I would get the gap warmest jacket.
