Please HELP with Health Insurance questions
I have to call my new health insurance to let them know that I am pregnant and in my first trimester...something about having to inform them so they will make arrangement for their side of the hospital bills and such. Anyway, since I'll be on the phone with them I want to put together a list of questions to ask in regard to the pregnancy. I need some help on putting this list together. So far I have:
1. What will/won't be covered by the health insurance at the hospital? 2. What should I expect to have to pay at the hospital? 3. What process is there if the hospital bills me for something that we have not discussed in this call - or for something the health insurance says is covered? 4. What co-pays am I responsible for with the OBGYN?
TY in advance!!

How long am I allowed to stay and when does that stay begin? Some insurance, the clock starts ticking when you are admitted, others when you give birth.

Thanks for this reminder, I just called my health plan and I get 3 nights for a vaginal delivery and 5 for a c-section from the time I am admitted. I guess that seems pretty standard.
