Please Help...Jacob is teething and he is very fussy and up all night

Is there anything that we can do for him? We tried baby orajel and it doesnt seem to be helping. He wants everything in his mouth and when it is in his mouth, he is screaming his head off. The pediatrician said rubbing a little wine on his gums is Ok...has anybody ever done that or heard of it? I feel so bad for him and DH and I are exhausted Chat Icon TIA! Chat Icon

I haven't done that, but I have a feeling my mom may have, LOL.

I recommend trying the Soothing Drops. I have the Gentle Naturals one, but Hylands has it too. Also, tylenol helps. And what always helped for us was giving him a botlle when he woke up and all else failed. thankfully it is not really habbit for himChat Icon , but it helps him to calm down.

Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would try to wine, or even Tylenol.

The only thing that helped DD was either tylenol or motrin.

We have been using a combination of the Hylands tablets, orajel and tylenol (motrin when it's really bad) and it seems to alleviate the pain somewhat. DS still will wake up a few times a night because of teething but usually one of these things will get hiim back to sleep very quickly

Hoping Jacob feels better soon Chat Icon

We use Hyland's and Tylenol on occassion. 3 Hyland's every 6 hrs. really seemed to work for us!

I did this for Matthew.
I got a small baby washcloth, and wet it.
I took crushed ice cubes and wrapped it around the ice and then took a rubberband and ties it around the ice, so he can hold it.
It seemed to help, but put a bib on, because his shirt will get all wet.
