Please make sure you always have an extra pair of clothes
for yourself!!!! No matter where you go!
I sat down about a half hour ago, with a nice refreshing cucumber salad I made this morning for my lunch. I ate it, reveled in it, and was preparing to get up from my desk when, oh no, the unthinkable happened!!
I tried to put the lid on the plastic reusable container and because I had used oil and vinegar in this salad (about 1/2 a container's worth-approx 1.5 cups-) the lid was slippery.
The lid slipped, I went to grasp the container, but oh, it was too late. The entire container of red vinegar, oil, and the little seeds that had escaped my consumption were now all over my lap, my shirt, my desk, the floor and the rug.
I could not bare to look at the destruction. My coworker came rushing to my loud gasp, asked if I was ok and just stared when she saw the destruction. I then slowly stood to walk to the bathroom and looked as if I had just gone on a water ride. Once in the bathroom, I bunched up my shirt and wet it in the sink. And then a coworker walked in with the most confused face on.
I'm now sitting back at my desk, inside my very own salad smelling cublicle, wet, ashamed and wishing that I had an extra pair of clothes for myself in my car-because the size 3 month onesie for DD just isn't going to cut it. It doesn't help that everyone that passes the area right now says it smells good in here, like a nice salad. If they only knew.

OH MY YOU POOR THING!!
I guess its good you actually got to enjoy the salad first though.
laslt year when i was preggo i had a cup of fruit punch with ice. i was wearing a white top. the whole friggan thing spilled on the front of my shirt. I had to wait until 1 when our company gift shop opened to buy a new shirt..

The kicker-i'm wearing the new pants I bought a month ago because I was no longer wearing maternity. DH is going to roll his eyes when I get home and tell me that I'm not allowed out in public anymore.

If it makes u feel any better (not sure it will) but my son just projectiled all over my brand new "non maternity" jeans and only clean top I had. I just bought them yesterday.
P.S- I can't do laundry b/c we r in construction and I can only get access to the machine at night when there aren't 50 men in my home.

He's at work, he can't leave and I can't get in touch with him.
By the way, I still smell like a salad and my shirt looks like it is tie dyed because of the oil.

OMG- you poor thing!
I always have extra clothes for DD but never for me! Might be somethign to consider!
Reminds me of the time I sat in chocolate at work- with beige pants on-10 minutes before a client meeting!
