Please read.... I bumped it.

There are so many sad posts of people who are discovering how sick they are. I am urging all of you to go for a full checkup with your dr. Get bloodwork done too.

Please let us all take care of ourselves!!

If you don't have a dr , fm me. I could recommend the ones that I go to.

Bumping

Remember physicals are not just checking the eyes, ears etc. Get bloodwork, if you are 35 and older get a mammogram.( i 33 and getting one next week..ouch).
Ladies, get a pap test once a year. Make your SO get one too(well not a pap test.. but you know what I mean).

Excellent news! So glad it helped.

I just followed up with a sono...October I get an MRI! Fun! Woohoo!

But if it keeps me healthy..no problem.

Going to the derm next month..check out some moles..

Another really importnant thing to have done at a regualr physical is an EKG. Many doctors won't do it unless you have risk factors, but it is such an easy inexpensive test which can detect heart problems (i.e. valve and electrical problems) which are what affect young people.

My primary care does a baseline EKG at my physical so they know if there is anything going on

Def true. I know this may gross some people out. but get a yearly rectal.. Seriously, it is very important.
