Please reassure me...DD fell off bed this AM.....THANKS GIRLS !
I turned my back for 5 seconds to grap a sheet, and heard the "bang" I know it only takes one second for an accident to happen BUT I feel soo sick over this, she cried for 3 min, and then was smiling and laughing, I am going to call dr. as soon as they open to see if they want her in, but there are no bruises (yet) she fell face first, onto our carpet. She ate fine already and pooped, but I think I need a dr. for my nerves.... Has this happened to anyone else, I think she is ok, it seems she is. TIA
eta : Thank you all for making me feel better, Katie is fine the dr. told me what to look for and she is the same 'ole Katie! I just go so nervous and scared.

This happened to my friend and he fell off a high bed onto hard wood floor and he was fine. She did bring him to the doctor for reassurance

I am sure she will be fine, especially if she was smiling and laughing. I'm sure your doctor will reassure you too.

That happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I was a mess all day. Andrew fell and hit is head on the night stand on the way down
I just kept him up for as long as I could and when he fell asleep I kept checking him. He didn't even have a scratch or bruise on him.
I am sure she is fine

I'm so sorry
I was just saying last night that I will be crushed the first time Charlie bangs his head or something.
I'm sure she will be fine and I think speaking to the Dr. will make you feel a lot better!

Genevieve rolled off my bed twice. The first time was the first time she ever rolled, and the second time was in her sleep (she was sleeping in bed with me against the wall) and in her sleep rolled to the foot of the bed! And I never woke up until I heard her LAUGH from falling!

Re: Please reassure me...DD fell off bed this AM...
This same thing happened to me last weekend- except she fell on her back on my hard wood floors I cried and cried and called the doctor in a panic. The doctor told me that if she cried right away, and didn't seem to favor one side, she was probably fine. I was too ashamed to tell anyone. I felt like the worst mom in the world.
Well in the last week, 3 people have told me the same thing happened to them and their kids. Their kids are all older than mine (one is 6) adn they are all functioning well. So I think its just fine.

That happened to me last week- I asked my DH to watch Syney while i went to get Reese and all of a sudden i heard a bang and screaming. MY DH fell asleep and Sydney crawled head 1st off the bed. She had a huge bump on her forhead. It just so happened i had a doctors appointment that day and he said if she acts normal then she is fine. She still has the bruise but it's going away now. Scary stuff!

Re: Please reassure me...DD fell off bed this AM.....THANKS GIRLS !
Um...has it happened to anyone else?
YESS!!!! She has rolled off the couch at a few months old, fallen off the bed several times, and even rolled down the stairs twice!
The worst was when she was holding on to the couch and the dog (perched on top) flew off the couch and knocked her over and she banged the back of her head.
Dr said it'd be fine....they need to fall like 8 feet in order for a serious trauma to occur. DD went to sleep for a 2 hr nap (dr said to check on her and to feed her to make sure she would not vomit which would be a sign of concussion).

I'm sure she's perfectly fine. Maddie hasn't fallen off the bed yet but she has fallen backward and banged her head on our headboard. She screamed for a minute than fas fine. My cousin has fallen down a flight of stairs when he was one and not even a scratch on him. He was so graceful I think he should be a stunt double when he grows up.

It happens to almost everyone, don't feel bad. Roman has fallen off of my bed and the couch onto the wooden floor. The worst thing is it will play over and over in your head. I'm sure she's fine.
