Please Recc your Lunch box for pre-k, TIA!
Hi ladies - My 4 yr old will be bringing lunch to school 3 days per week this year! Not sure why this is so overwhelming to me 
I'm trying to find a lunch box that has the following - but no success so far!
- insulated (with separate area for an ice pack)
- enough room for food storage containers (i want to pack fruit, veggies and a sandwich or protein and not have it all mushed together)
-easy to operate for a 4 yr old
-separate compartment for drink (thermos, water bottle etc.)
- lining tested for lead, pvc's etc....
Also, looking for containers that are safe (preferably stainless steel or safe plastic) and can keep food cold.
I've tried:
PBK
Lands End
LL Bean
One step ahead
Separately they all have features of the above but, none have it all!

wow Erica. Thank you for that link. Those are great. Id like to get one but from experience with DS#1 he loses everything! I mean everything and Id hate to lose a $30 lunch box. DS#2 may be more responsible. Ill see how he does with his super cheap super mario one first and is he doesnt lose it Im going to buy one of those! Very cool!

DId you get yours yet? I was wondering what the dimensions of the food box was, DD likes the box but wants to use her lunch bag.

I just looked this up LOL
12 x 7 1/2 x 2 1/2.
If you go to the faq it shows how big each section is too.

12 x 7 1/2 x 2 1/2.
If you go to the faq it shows how big each section is too.
Thanks! I kept clicking on the lunch boxes themselves but it wasn't there.

it is a little bigger than I thought - it won't fit in the typical lunch boxes from the store.

It's about a half inch too long for her bag from Lands End and she doesn't want a new one. Bummer.

Thanks! I just looked it up. It says you can put an ice pack on the outside. Have you tried this? DOes it keep the food cool? TIA!

I got the Go Green lunch box from Zulily a few months ago. It is HUGE. I would return it if I could (Zulily doesn't do returns!  ). I will not be sending it to school with my DD (Pre-K).

Really. I was also concerned about the size. I think my sons now is 9x5x3. I saw those were much bigger. I wish they had ones with different compartments but a little smaller?

Thanks ladies! I ended up ordering one from Lands end. Seems to have most of what I need. I'll let you all know once I get it. Now I'm on the hunt for containers for inside the lunch box!
