Please recommend your bathroom floor
We redid our main bath a few years ago and I was out of town when he was laying the floor. There was a problem with the tile design I picked so I had to choose something else on the spot, sight unseen. The bathroom is all white and the floor is large white tiles with wide white grout. It is the worst!! Every little speck of dust, hair, everything gets stuck in the grout or shows up on the tile. Everytime I'm in the bathroom I am cleaning that Godawful floor. We recently decided to change out the sink as well and we decided to redo the floor. Can you recommend your floor that hides a multitude of sins? I have 3 small kids. The wall tile, toilet, tub & sink are all white, I would like to stay neutral but not sure how to do that and not make another mistake.

i plan on using slate (or tile that has a dark gray slate finish) with a all white bathroom with dark brown/black cabinets.

I have white subway tiles with a tanish floor (sorry not the best pic). I also have this a tumbled careera marble floor in my powder room that I love!! Image Attachment(s):

Thank you for the ideas...I never thought about going darker like slate. Hmmnn....
Lullabella - your second bathroom floor looks similar to my kitchen floor.
Also bumping for more ideas.

Re: Please recommend your bathroom floor
I toyed with the idea of slate but honestly you have to seal it every year and on the maintenance, wear, heavy duty, etc.. "it's on the medium" rating at HD and Lowes.
I decided on a beige tile, with color variation into the tile. It's porcelaine and heavy duty rating.
Shower tile is same tile as on the floor but in 6x6 size
