Please recommend your fave spraygrounds, pools, kiddies pools for the under 1 set..
DD will be nine months on the 12th. She is not walking or crawling yet. However, she sits very well and is great at standing with assistance. I would love to get her somehow in the water and cool but I also know she is at a difficult age. We also live in the city, and although she has been in water (friends pools), it is not a frequent occurance. Although I know plenty of names and such of some great LI and NJ parks (we don't mind travelling), I would love to hear some input on the most loved ones especially for the wee ones!!
TIA!!

Venetian in Lindenhurt is nice. Centereach pool has a great sprinkler area and shallow pools for mommy and baby. But I don't know many near you.

Honestly, most of the kiddie parks with these things *I* think are a little young for the little ones. The water is very cold and bigger kids are running all over the place. At that age I found it MUCH easier to just get a little one for the house. Something like this:

what about the sprinklers and playground by the Band Shell in Prospect Park?
there are a few really nice play grounds for kids scattered about...but I've been going to that sprinkler since I was introduced to the world.

Thanks, I have heard great thing about Venetian, I just wasn't that sure how age appropriate it was. And I saw ypur pics yesterday from Centereach, it looked like a lot of fun!

She does have a point. It's best to save gas and money by staying home and doing something like these. I had stuff like this for DS's first summer.
