please recommend your ipod car adapter
I dont have a tape deck, but i have one of those aux jacks and the power outlet. I remember years ago i had one of those wireless adapters that you had to plug into the ipod and then tune the radio to some obscure station. It didnt work well.
Does anyone have a recommendation for one that works? I cant take the talking/commercials on the radio during my morning commute any longer. I need music to wake me up!!
Help!

Re: please recommend your ipod car adapter
I just got the wire for the aux outlet at Radio Shack for $4. They wanted $20 for the exact same one at Best Buy. I bought a longer wire so it reaches from the radio to me. The only thing that stinks about it is that it doesn't charge the ipod so you either need to bring it inside every few days to charge or get an ipod charger for the car. It looks like a car cell phone charger. DH got one when the Liquidators in West Babylon closed for $2

Re: please recommend your ipod car adapter
if you have a aux jack and it looks like you can plug headphones into it, you want to buy a 3.5mm to 3.5 mm cable from radio shack or similar stores.
to use your ipod, plug in said cable and turn your radio to aux and press play on ipod.
You won't be charging it but you shouldn't have a problem unless you use it allllll day long and don't charge it over night.

Re: please recommend your ipod car adapter
I bought a "bundle kit" at Marshall's a few years ago. It has the auxiliary wire to hook the iPod to the car stereo so you can listen to it and it also came with the car charger - paid like $10 for it. I've had a few of those wires and they all worked fine. I think the one I have now is Griffin.
