Re: Please recommend your parenting "Toddler" book
I only refer to Toddler 411 - I had to stop with the other books because I was getting too anxious over milestones I was afraid I was going to stress DS out waiting for him to reach each on in the books.
Sorry - no help but I do love the 411 book!

i just ordered a book called "pocket parent" on amazon yesterday. And then later that night went to B&N and bought Happiest Toddler on the block. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Re: Please recommend your parenting "Toddler" book
For the first year, I really liked the American Academy of Pediatrics book and it was very inexpensive. I am going to see if they have a toddler book. The book can get you crazy about milestones but I found it helpful to see the milestones listed there so that I would not have to listen to people who really didn't know when milestones were supposed to happen.
To the OP, I can't believe we are looking into toddler books already. We were on the pregnancy board together so recently, it seems.
