What exactly goes on with this board and train program? I don't think I could have ever done it with Molly - but maybe I need to do it with this one.
ETA: I just realized that they are who I met with for Molly - they use the clicker right where they get zapped? I don't know how I feel about that really. I just don't think it's for us.

I was goign to use them for Porter but they do use that collar and i refuse to put that on my dog. We also spoke with bark busters but with them it was 700 for them to come once and if you needed them to come again it was only mon-fri 9-5. That didnt work for us. I spoke to several people about toni's before we went for an eval and we decided to sign with her. She was great with porter.

I felt exactly the same way about them at first. I was very nervous about it but my dh and I did end up using them for training. It has done SOO much for our Rottie mix (Molly) It truly is amazing and the collar is really nothing more than a poke to get there attention, you have total control over it and now we only use the collar when Molly is outside of the house. She doesn't even need a leash (although I put one on her) outside. If you are interested and near wantagh or selden you should go just to watch a class. If not I totally understand. Like I said, I had my own reservations about the technique but can't imagine anyone has a better trained (loving) dog than me.

Best Friends Dog Training...They were amazing.
and yes they use the impulse collar, which I was very opposed to. The collar has two settings, a vibration setting and the "zap" setting. We only used the vibration setting on Jessi. Currently we are using the collar on Riley.
When you see the results its worth it IMO. All three of my dogs are completely trained off the leash, which is great b/c we don't have a fence in our yard. Our neighbors thought we had an invisible fence b/c the dogs don't leave the yard.
also, I don't think you NEED to train off collar. You can speak to Frank about it.
