Please recommend your Verizon phone - So done with Sprint!
Sprint really made me angry tonight. Our contract just expired and we were thinking of switching to Verizon so I called Verizon and got their prices. I then called Sprint to see if we could lower our plan because we're not using anywhere near the number of minutes we're paying for and see about upgrading my phone. They began telling me "well with Verizon you'll pay X". I said untrue, here's what they're offering me. She then put me on hold, came back a while later and said they could offer me a plan with 100 minutes more than we have now with Blackberry included for X, which is $40 more than what I pay now. When I explained that was higher than what Verizon offered, she put me on hold for a HALF HOUR, only to come back and tell me she was researching Verizon plans and what I can get with them is X, which is EXACTLY what I previously told her. She then kept harping on me getting more minutes with their plan, but I don't need more minutes. I told her she wasn't listening to me (in a very nice way) so she said she'd make the notes in my account so Verizon could port our numbers over. On top of it, I am paying $10 per month for unlimited Sprint to Sprint, but that's included in their plans now because they've upgraded their plans since last year. WHAT? So because I'm an existing customer I should pay the extra $10?
SO, which Verizon phones do you recommend?

well, to answer your last question, once you update your plan, you wont pay $10 more a month for sprint to sprint calls. You agreed to the plan and thats why you pay it.
as for phones, are you looking at a BB or a regular phone? Verizon has buy get on free which includes some BB's if i remember correctly

DH and I just upgraded our phones. We've had Verizon for a long time. We did the buy one get one BBs. DH got the storm and I got the curve.

I wanted to know also because I am able to get a new phone soon. I was actually looking at both BB Curve and the Dare. I like both. Do you have to pay extra the the blackberry service? If so how much?

If you're looking into a BB, do NOT get the Storm. I'd recommend the Curve

I've had BBs before. If you need to check work email outside the office, use the Internet alot, etc, then yes. If not, then no. BBs are VERY addicting.

I have the Razr and haven't had any problems with it. Kevin had the Razr and then upgraded to the Chocolate, but now he regrets it and says he should've stuck with the Razr.

I have the Samsung Glyde and I DO NOT recommend it.
It looks like a cool phone. It has touch screen and qwerty slide out keyboard but the touch screen dials people all the time and when Im on the phone, my face mutes people, dials numbers, hangs up on them, etc.
Its awful. I paid a lot for this phone and Im going back to my old one.

Dh has the Dare -- its all touch screen -- i'm not sure how i feel about it-- but he seems to love it

I really HATE Sprint!! I don't care if the plan was $5 a month, I would never ever EVER go with them again. 
I just got a Blackberry Curve 8330 w/Verizon from my job - love it.
