Please remember all the little ones without homes this holiday season ..........VERY SAD VIDEO
i saw this on the adoption board and wanted to share with all of us ladies fortunate enough to have children and to say how all this holiday gift buying and posts on children not having gifts given really seems soo very trivial after seeing these little faces . please be thankful this holiday season not for the amount of gifts your child will be getting but the fact that you have a child who is loved and cared for or the rest of their lives .......when people ask why did you adopt

Yup!! That is why we need to remind our kids how fortunate they are and they should not take life for granted.

WOW. I am bawling right now. It just reinforces my desire to adopt a child.
Its so amazing how God works. Today at the gym, I met a woman who adopted from the Ukraine. She saw my scar (from my surgery) while I was on the treadmill (it is hard to cover up while I workout). Anyway, we go to talking, she asked me how I got my scar, etc, etc. When I told her that I could not have anymore children, she said she had a daughter and then was told no more children due to complications she had with the birth of her daughter. Anyway, she said that when you visit these orphanages to pick up the child that you are adopting the other children hang onto your leg and BEG you to adopt them too. She said it is heartbreaking.
You know, I believe with every fiber of my being that the reason I went through all of this stuff with my heart was to open up my mind and consider adopting another child. I hate to admit it, but if I was healthy enough to have another child biologically I would have never considered it. I know God has a plan and I feel that this is part of it for me. I know that we are not ready immediately, but I have a feeling that within the next two-three years we will be. I can't explain it, I feel like in the last 2 months I have been meeting all of these people who adopted, or know a family member who adopted. The only thing I worry about is that DH and I could be turned down because of my health issues. But I hope and pray that does not happen.
ETA: Sorry I hijacked your thread.

I couldn't be more thankful. I pray for these children and women who struggle all the time. The holidays shouldn't be about gifts-our GIFTS are sitting right in front of us!
