Please share your ideas for a boys first birthday party
Where did you have yours? We are definitely going to have it out someplace. His Birthday is October 26th, which is right near Halloween. Thinking of maybe a Halloween theme but not sure if that will be too much.. Anyone have any recommendations on a place or theme?

DS is a week before Halloween. We did Firetrucks with a craft table for the kids. I did Halloween crafts for them. He had no idea what Halloween was so I didn't go overboard with that stuff..

We had my son's first birthday party at a K0fC. There are so many themes to choose from. You can do a prince theme, Sesame St, Mickey Mouse, Construction, prince theme, carnival theme, etc.

Please share your ideas for a boys first birthday party
We just booked DS's 1st birthday at an American Legion hall. I didn't want to worry about everyone in my house in case the weather was bad, since October can go either way. We decided on a Jungle Theme because DH calls him monkey all the time.
I've thought about halloween themes, but figured I would do that when he is older and understands.
I called a few Knights of Columbus and American Legion halls, as well as restaurants, but going with the hall was the most cost effective.

Re: Please share your ideas for a boys first birthday party
I did a lollipop/candy theme. The invites were lollipops made from cardstock. The center pieces were dum dum topiaries which I made. The red, white and blue stripes in the invites ran throughout the whole party. I wanted soemthing unique and not character themed. The party and the theme were a hit. Everyone that replied loved the invites

Re: Please share your ideas for a boys first birthday party
we had DS's first birthday last month in my backyard and it was a yankee baseball theme. there's pics in my album.
i found there was a lot i could do with the theme if you are looking for detailed stuff. i tried to keep with baseball stadium foods/snacks and had peanuts, cracker jacks, big hot pretzels, big league chew, sunflower seeds, cotton candy, italian ices, ice cream in theyankee baseball hats, hot dogs etc. favors were baseball cookies. i also made up a concession stand banner and had a yankee cake. i asked guests to wear baseball attire from their fave teams. his invite was 3 baseball tickets fanned out on cardstock. the theme came together really cute.
