thanks for posting...my husb thinks im a dork b/c whenever i see any military person in uniform i always walk up to him/her n say - thank u for serving our country- they get bashful but i know they appreciate the moment of kindness

Aww, that's so nice. I'm always the bashful one but now I can just gesture w/out saying anything.

thank you for posting this. i posted a poem about the troops last week and got only 2 responses. it makes me sad that it looks like no one cares about these people who put their lives on the line for us every day.

LOVE IT!! That stuff always gets to me. I always say thank you and sometimes feel like a dork. But I would rather feel like a dork for 5 seconds than go through what they do day after day!!

They really do appreciate it!!!! My little brother is in the Army...stationed overin Iraq. He said it made him feel really good when people came up to him before he left.

Aw, I'm sorry, I didn't see that post! I definitely would have replied. I have had family in the armed forces (two are out now) and it always amazes me the sacrifices that these people make.
